Name: Jimmy "Two-Shoes" McClarty
From: Alternate Universe version of Jimmy Two-Shoes, based on some of the ideas from the original pilot.
Appearance:
Age: 14 when he died. Is now ageless and essentially immortal, being as he's well... already dead.
Gender: Male
Personality: On the outside, Jimmy is sweet, kind, joyful, optimistic, excitable, helpful, polite, innocent, generous, and happy-go-lucky. He's so happy and nice all the time, in fact, it's often downright annoying or just plain disturbing.
Which it should be. On the inside, he's violent, murderous, and completely insane. He's an unpredictable wild card, picking flowers one minute and then turning into an ax-wielding psycho the next... with a happy gleeful grin the entire time.
He's also appears to be a bit of masochist. He not only doesn't seem to mind being tortured, he actually seems to like it. Or perhaps it's just the sugary cloud of endless optimism and joy that covers his mind. Either way, Jimmy is not your typical wholesome '50s boy from Stepford Suburbia....
Backstory: Jimmy McClarty grew up in a white picket fence 1950s Canadian suburbia, with his mother and father. When he was very young he was just a normal, sweet kid... until his mother died. Afterwards his father become an alcoholic who verbally and physically abused him on a regular basis. In order to deal with his trauma, Jimmy kept himself in something of a state of denial, jading his mind with eternal optimism and cheerfulness, Stepford Smiles and by doing good deeds to everyone he could find. He was so sweet, kind, and helpful his neighbors nicknamed him "Little Jimmy Two-Shoes". However, as the years went by, his mental state became increasingly unstable...
Until he was fourteen, when his mind completely snapped. Gleefully, he took an ax from the garage, and delightfully chopped his drunken father to pieces, smiling and laughing the whole time. Upon hearing Mr. McClarty's screaming, some neighbors from a nearby dinner party went to investigate. Jimmy proceeded to happily kill them as well.
One party guest happened to get away and call the police, leading Jimmy to attempt escape to America in his father's car. Of course, being only fourteen, he had no idea how to really drive it. It wasn't long before he'd spun out of control and crashed the car. Since in his quick getaway he'd forgotten his seatbelt, he was ejected from the driver's seat, knocking out one of his teeth and, more significantly, killing him upon impact.
For his sin of murder Jimmy was sent to Hell. There he met the Devil himself, the surprisingly short Lucifer Morningstar VII, descendant of the original Satan. Arranged to torment him was a thirteen year old German serial killer named Heloise VonHlutwig. Amusingly enough, Jimmy happened to take a liking to Heloise's torment... and she took a liking to him. As in, she fell completely in love with him.
Now Jimmy lives in Miseryville, the capital city of Hell, and spends his eternity doing mostly what he did in life - having fun and helping people. Of course, instead of his friendly neighbors, now he's helping demons, devils and the damned. He also hangs out with his now good friend Lucifer VIII, aka Beezlebub or "Beezy", Lucifer VII's brilliant but lazy and unmotivated son, and Heloise, who considers him her boyfriend, though he's got his head too much in the clouds to really notice, as well as annoying Lucifer VII and his wife Magdalyn with his constant joy and optimism.
Of course, this doesn't mean Jimmy isn't still totally crazy, and that gleeful ax crazy side of him definitely comes out all the time, often when you least expect it....
Moral Standing: Appears to be Chaotic Good, but is actually Chaotic Neutral.
Dreams: To spread happiness and joy and help everyone~! Other then that, whatever he randomly aspires to do on a whim, depending on his current situation.
Fears: This is a tough one. Jimmy is so carefree, it's really hard to say what he's afraid of... it could be nothing at all, or everything. His fears and worries, what little there are, seem to change pretty frequently. He really is very unpredictable that way.
Extra:
-Jimmy's full name is a reference to a gag by Colin Mochrie on the improv comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway?
-Since Jimmy is technically dead to begin with, he's able to be gruesomely and morbidly injured with little permanent consequence. He can do things such as pull bones out of his body and unscrew the top of his head.
-Jimmy's weapon of choice when he goes into homicidal maniac mode is a black and silver ax, which he's nicknamed Tabitha. He believes the consciousness of his dead mother is inside it, and speaks to him... something which he may not be completely wrong about...
-He has a pet demon dog named Cerebus, or "Cerbee" for short.
-Though Jimmy died in 1952, he didn't arrive in Hell until the year 2006, due to it often takes souls a long time to reach their final destination.
-Being from the 1950s, Jimmy very often uses '50s terminology and slang. Here's a list that includes essentially all the terms he uses and their meanings: http://www.newberry.k12.sc.us/mchs/50sSlang.htm
Tropes:
Yangire (journal namer), Seemingly Wholesome Fifties Boy (subversion), Ax Crazy, Beware the Nice Ones, Stepford Smiler, The Pollyanna, Cloud Cuckoolander, Keet, Dead To Begin With, I Call It Vera" ("Tabitha")
